muswp1
Anyone know whose kit Italeri reboxed for this one? It's kit #2681. 1:48 P-38/F-5E LIGHTNING - ITALERI # 2681 on E-Bay
P-38 guy
It's the Minicraft kit. Mike
muswp1
Ok, is it worth picking up (I've seen it for around $40 retail) or should I skip it. I've been looking to do a F-5 recon plane and I was thinking about using an old Monogram kit to build as an F-5B (which is what the recon nose parts in the kit mostly represent). crazydon
The Minicraft P-38 is a poor copy of the Academy mold. When the 2 companies disbanded their partnership Academy kept the origional mold line and Minicraft did theirs...and it ain't worth $10.00..let alone $40.
muswp1
Thanks, I think I'll stick to the Monogram kit.
crazydon
If you can find the Academy P-38 its a good kit, cockpit is a bit less detailed than the Hasegawa series but the fit is better, and they had several different variants in the line. The Minicrap ones on the other hand
