Starfighter84
Hallo to all! I'm glad to present you my last work: a Lockheed PV-1 Ventura in the RNZAF colors. The base kit is the Revell in the 1/48 scale... but I made some modification. The engine nacelles and propellers were wrong in the kit, so I corrected it with the Vector resin set. I also used the following aftermarkets... Ventura001 by valerio, su Flickr Ventura002 by valerio, su Flickr And following... the result after 7 months of work! tobiK
You nailed it! A New Zealand Venture is one of my favorite (besides the brasilian one)!

Joel_W
Valerio, Just an outstanding build. Excellent paint, weathering, and decaling that looks more like paint. I'm planning my own PV-1 Ventura build in Canadian markings, and I sure hope it comes out nearly as good as your build. Joel

Joel_W
Valerio, I'm just about ready to start my build of the Revell kit. I've bought quite a lot of AM resin and PE for my build, plus I'm planning several modifications to the kit. I noticed that you used the Eduard PE Bombay set. Do you have any pictures you could post of the Bombay, so I can see if that set is worth the time, effort, and cost. Thanks, Joel

Thanks, Joel I don't have pictures of the real aircraft Joel... but i can show you what I did on my model: Ventura056 by valerio, su Flickr VenturaEnd02 by valerio, su Flickr VenturaEnd04 by valerio, su Flickr Hope this can help you! ;)
Joel_W
Valerio, I'm really impressed at how your Bomb bay with the Eduard PE came out. Just outstanding work. I decided not to go that route, as I've already have bought just about every AM corrective part out there, and still have to buy the AM props. So I'm just going to detail and enhance the bomb bay for a busier effect. Joel
