82Whitey51
Great looking cockpit. Is that OOB or aftermarket?
HAMMER32
Great looking cockpit. Is that OOB or aftermarket? It's AIRES’ resin cockpit.
A-10 LOADER
Great start Hammer, I'll definetly be watching this build. Steve
Joel_W
Oh wow!! The cockpit and seats look incredible. From the detail on the rear bulkhead, I'm assuming that this is a AM tub, not the Kinetic tub from the kit. Joel

Hey, you put on FODs? AM or self made? The intake is resin parts that a friend gave me long time ago, I think it's AM.
toadwbg
Great start. Gives me some nightmares of when I did my Kinetic A-6! Good deal strengthening the wing joint, I did that too.

Yes,especially the assembly of the lower fuselage piece, I have just experienced a tough battle lastnight.

HAMMER32
O.K.; Second attempt. As per the thread title; Is this a new release? Or, to put it another way, when was this kit released? Yes, it is newly released, with new tooling wings, the flaps are separated. I bought it in late Feb. as soon as it was available. Awesome; Thanks very much for replying ! How is the overall quality of piece fitment such as fuselage halves, intakes, fuselage belly etc?
HAMMER32
Awesome; Thanks very much for replying ! How is the overall quality of piece fitment such as fuselage halves, intakes, fuselage belly etc? The fitment is ok if OOB, I add some resin parts , that makes some problems. The details are atill not sharp, but a little better than the A-6E kit I built last year. The new tooling wings fixed the thickness problem, but the wing folding structure is not improve at all, that makes me do another bad decision to buy a Wolfpack wing fold kit. I also have the Kinetic A-6E. It's currently sitting on my 'shelf of doom' due to it's infamous fitment problems. How does the EA-6B fitment compare to the Kinetic A-6E? Thanks again for the informative replies !

A little better, but they are on the same level, I think the EA-6B's canopy would make you feel better, as the 99% modeller would keep them open.
A-10 LOADER
Cockpit and wheel bay installed. What did you use to secure the brass rods to the fuselage Hammer, 2 part epoxy ?? I have to do something similar to my 1/18th Tomcat where the nose section mates to the main body. Steve
crackerjazz
Your cockpits are always eye-popping, Hammer! Amazing how you make them look so sharp and alive.
Jinxter13
Hammer that cockpit is truly worthy of a Campbell's cheer Mmmmmm good mmmmmmmmmm good that cockpit is very Mmmmmm GOOD!!!. Next time you're holding class on doing a cockpit reserve a seat for me at the front of the class :D . I really want to do one of these Prowlers, but all the bad press has kept my cash on this side of the register. I've decided when I do my Revell Intruder, I'll probably pop for the HB version, since folks are singing praises. Off hand do you know if the Aires pit is adaptable in the Revell Prowler?/ just for S & G's.

Clif, Aires has separate cockpit sets for Revell/Monogram Prowler in the catalog (items 4395 - Early and 4398 - Late). HTH S.

Thanks, I think the Revell's Prowler would give better details than Kinetic's, Aires and Wolfpack offers many aftermarkets kits you can use.
