Title says it all!

Basic rules apply, any scale, any medium, any era, any nationality. Warship or civil. Any amount of AM. No what if's. Some minor work is ok to start with, maybe some minor hull work, or interior structure.

For youse building 1/700 models. I just found a site, 3dmodelparts.com, with various 1/700 detail sets. I just ordered 1/25 wire wheels for my Aston Martin DB-4 build. I'll show detailed pix when I get them.

No financial interest.

Now Hear This by Rear Adm. Daniel V. Gallery.

For non-fiction, The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, by James D. Hornfischer. Shattered Sword by Jonathan Parshall and Anthony Tully is on my to-be-read-soon shelf.

I read Fatal Voyage not that long ago about the sinking of the Indianapolis.

Within the last year or so I've also read

The Boat about a German U-boat captain.

Blind Mans Bluff. About American subs in the Cold War and so on. Learned a lot I had never even heard of.

All 3 were really good and recommended.

Let's hear it, what is the best naval books you've read? For me it's Operation History of the U.S. navy in WWII, by Samuel Eliot Morrison....all 15 volumes!

Neptune's Inferno, Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, Shattered Sword and Give Me a Fast Ship.

My buddy who's grandfather was on the Indianapolis is in Indy right now. They had a survivors banquet apparently over the weekend. Then today he visited the memorial today.

70th anniversary is in 3 days.

Testing.

Found some instructions on banners and noted that each user puts it in their "signature", using the same method as for a photo in the comment.

Checked some banners and noted all are jpg.

With the new PC and different software had to figure out how to resize a photo--used "Paint".

So here, hopefully is the result of trying out the part I know.

Next is making a banner.

Alright Shipmates! I'm leaving at 7 am to drive to Baltimore to see the Tigers beat the O's two days in a row, I'll be driving back home Sunday, so no updates from me for a few days. That being said, I've made good progress on Warspite, most of the PE is finished on the fantail, just need to do a little touch up painting and install a couple of ladders. I WOULD post pictures, but I'm just going to wait till the fantail is finished so I can post some good close ups. This is my first time as a primary mod, so I don't really know what I'm doing, but when I get home I'm going to send a few emails to sponsors to see if I can at least get 2 or 3 prizes, maybe a raffle or a best in show vote. KEEP THOSE BUILDS MOVEING FORWARD!!!!

Well, I'm back! It was a Star Spangled good time!

The Tigers lost both games we went to, but of course they won the game the day we were driving home. Baltimore is a fantastic place, we are going back without a doubt, with more time to see stuff. We got a chance to go to the National Aquarium, and Fort McHenry, but not for as long as we should have. Oh well, maybe next time. Vacation is over, BACK TO WORK!
