Slartibartfast
I guess the "P-47" is flying under an experimental certificate. The Messerschmitt Spitfire looks to be an R/C model. The Consolidated Lancaster is CG, and has a serious alignment issue at the tail.
Joe Hegedus
I want the minute I spent looking at this post back.
Slartibartfast
Well, at least the Frankenspit has a real progenitor. And it could be a 1/2-scale plane...
Grey Ghost 531
I guess the "P-47" is flying under an experimental certificate. The Messerschmitt Spitfire looks to be an R/C model. The Consolidated Lancaster is CG, and has a serious alignment issue at the tail. The Avrolidated Libercaster has a specially designed tail to offset the torque characteristics of the engines. Speaking of Frankenplanes, when I was in the Hawai'i ANG there was an airframe in the hanger for a while. It was a jet that suffered a spar crack and they replaced the entire wing. While it was in work it was a SEA camo fuselage with a Hill gray wing. I SOOOOO wish I'd thought to take a picture of that! Slartibartfast
Good eye. I can now see the cock-eyed tail on the P-47 Zero where the camera angles didn't quite match. And that the Spitfire and Me 109 were at different distances from the camera causing size problems the the chopper couldn't quite rectify.
Hawk10
The P-47/T-6 photo is photo shopped as is the Lanc/b-24 although it is not as neat a job being done (the vertical stabs are not pointing the same direction of flight as the rest of the air frame -only slightly, but very noticeable). Of the three, the Spit/BF109 is the most likely to be a real a/c. Build the main airframe using the Jurca 3/4 scale wooden firewall aft and firewall forward forward from the Jurca 3/4 scale BF 109F. The biggest thing I notice in the pic (which might indicate it is an actual a/c) is the size of both the pilot and the canopy. They both appear to be much larger than on the actual 1 to 1 airframe, matching the size of a person and canopy on a 3/4 size version of the real aircraft.
