E-2 Hawkeye during Vietnam

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking for deployment of Hawkeye during the Vietnam war and find decals if exist.

Thanks for your help

Trouble is that the current kits are for the E-2C (or the E-2C Hawkeye 2000) which didn't get into service until after the Vietnam conflict. To do an A or B model, you'd have to either find an old Fujimi boxing in 1/72 scale, or find a backdating conversion (none that I know of). Since the 1/48 scale kit is a C, you'd have to back date it. Biggest differences are in the shape of the nose forward of the cockpit and the air-conditioning scoops on top and sides of the fuselage. The old props were squared-off four-blade units.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your information.

I say that a conversion do modify the nose in 1/48 exist ...

For the 1/72, i will look to find old Fujimi parts.

I don't decided if i make it in 1/72 or 1/48 kit.

Steel Beach does a "B" model back date set for the 1/48 E-2C kit.
