  1. Chuck, knowing your obvious passion for accuracy, I would like to point out that the P38 had a seam on the leading edge of the wing where the upper and lower skins met. I noticed this when walking around a real example. Perhaps there are pictures online of this. It is like the seam on the upper fuselage of the Me 109 in that is faint. It may have had filler in it during WW2, but I do not know for sure. By the way, the Spitfire had a seam in the same place on the wing. I hope this helps. I really enjoy your work. Don Schmidt
  2. I know that there were several shapes of canopies used during ww 2 on the P51D. There were subtle differences and I have read somewhere that there may have been as many as 7 ??? shapes that have been identified. I have the Hasagawa kits in 1/72 scale. Kit AP 20 Jumpin Jaques has sprue Q (windscreen) and L (rear bubble). Kit SP120 Nose Art Part 1 has sprues Q (windscreen) and N (bubble). I have looked carefully, and cannot see any difference in the shapes or details of the two bubbles. I would not think that Hasagawa would cut two separate but identical moulds as that would be an needless added
