    Researching the actual aircraft that I will be building is definitely an integral part of the building process, for me. As mentioned already, it ends up adding quite a bit to the cost of the model. But the reference books, after-market decals and detail sets are necessities for me. As a matter of fact, I love collecting the books and decal sets just as much as the models. I've got several large 3-ring binders holding just the decal sets.
