  1. There's a "still sealed in plastic" Revell A-3D kit on ebay. It's an old Revell kit, but it is so pristine I almost bought it myself. There's no scale on the box, but I emailed the guy to get the model dimensions. He could only give me the box size. The box is 14 inches long. Given that the wings fold, the longest dimension will be the fuselage.... Given the length of the real fuselage, I figure that would put the model at about a 1/72 scale with a little room. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=350248752000
  2. Is this a Brewster Buccaneer or a Hawker Siddeley? (ones and S2B and the other is an SB2)... Easy to get confused and completely different aircraft.

There's no scale, but I emailed the guy to get the model dimensions. He could only give me the box size, so guessing that it's 14 inches to accomodate the fuselage, I figure that would put it at about a 1/72 scale with a little room. As I only work in 1/48 and 1/32 you can buy it.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=350248752000
  4. The problem with 1/32 scale is that you quite often don't get any pilots because they figure you're working on detail. I always have to buy pilots. You can get really nice resin pilots at PJ Production (www.pjproduction.net). I always get good stuff from Master Details as well -> http://ventersaerospace.com/MASTER_DETAILS.htm
  5. If you're not using the VMF(AW)334 half of that decal sheet, I'll buy it from you...
  6. Hello! I desperately need VMF-334 or VMF(AW)334 squadron decals for the F-8 Crusader in both 1/32 and in 1/48 scale to be shipped to Muscat, Oman. I'd ideally like them before Veterans day. Thanks!
  7. Cool. I just ordered the Trumpeter 1/32 F-8E model off eBay. I've been looking for Marines VMF-334 or VMF-312. Looks like I found 312. Good enough! I just hope it's not the "double nuts" 312 decals - again.
  8. Have you tried DJHobby? http://www.djhobby.com/cgi-bin/indexpage.p...ing/SUPSCL.html
  9. Hello everyone. I have a friend who flew F-8 Crusaders at El Toro for years with the VMF-334 and the VMF-312. If you need any detailed knowledge, I might be able to help. Moose.
  10. My best friend is an ex VMFA-334 Crusader driver from their El Toro days. He says the F-8 used J57-P6 and J57-P23's mainly. He thinks they later used J57-P21's. But he says a lot of it depended on what was compatible, fit, and was on hand in stores... But he is sure the P23 was used on all F-8's... So go for it.... He's flown all versions up to the E version. He was training Vietnamese in prop jobs in Da Nang after that and his actual unit converted to F-4's... so he doesn't know as much about the J series and later (at least first hand behind the stick)....
