Berkut
This... just looks wrong. And there are no panellines on the nose, only early prototype(s) had those. Not a biggie and it is easy to fix, but gives a glimpse into their research, they just copied drawings mindlessly.
gonzalo
I am far from an expert on anything Russian, however the nose looks off to me. Maybe it is the picture?
gb_madcat_sl
Well, at least it seems they got the straight section on the LERX correct. Mark
Petarvu
Yes, panel lines aside, I m looking at the photos and trying to figure out if it is off. It looks off , surely, but radome starts further forward and there is canopy base plus it slopes forward....we have to wait for more photos.. P

B.Sin
Ahhhh the dissapointment ! :deadhorse1:/> Believe me, I wish it wasn't the case. There hit to miss ratio is very poor, I hope it's not the case with this one.

I know but I wanted them to get this one right...... I sure hope nose will be ok, or Stenka/Coldwar Studio will have a new job... P

Berkut
Well, at least it seems they got the straight section on the LERX correct. Mark Yup, got lucky because the drawing they most likely used has the knife; No evidence of the APU intake/exhaust on the stinger, fencers, ECM pods or smaller bits and pieces that got added after the first 12 initial frames. IE; if those parts are truly not included one is limited to building prototypes and the first 12 serial frames. Out of 80+ serial ones so far...

That could be fixed with a relatively cheap aftermarket set IF the base model is OK. It would be nice to have some better shots with the nose fully assembled as the camera used seems to distort the model up close. Edited July 18, 2016 by ijozic
Berkut
One shouldn't need to buy an aftermarket set in order to represent a serial aircraft. All these things would be ridiculously easy and fast to design in CAD, buyers of the kit or AM shouldnt have to pick up the slack HB/Trump as always has. Or fill in silly panellines on the nose that clearly doesnt exist there, and they would have known if they had looked at one (1) picture of basically any Su-34 ever built. I'm not arguing that as I have no idea if this was intended or not. I was just trying to say that I hope it's only those few nooks and crannies missing rather than some serious shape errors. mingwin
i really hope they got the overall shape right, i'd love to have a 1/48 Su-34 in my display case... and i won't mind if its one of the pre-series aircraft ...as it would have been my personal preference!
Flankerman
You could always 'cheat'......... and put a cover over the APU intake grille.... :whistle:/> You would still have to make the APU exhaust though.... (on the top at the pointy end). Ken

MoFo
If nothing else, I shudder to think how many parts KH's fuselage will be broken into. They seem to use smaller machines with limited size, hence breaking fuselages into many(!) components. My guess is that the wings would be split off, probably the forward fuselage, and possibly the stinger as well. Given their equally dubious track record with accuracy... I'd probably go for the HB kit - if they both have problems, at least the HB kit looks like an easy build.

Petarvu
I considered posting observations regarding nose panel lines and tail sting APU on Trump/HB FB page, but then I was like naaaah, waste of time
