  1. I use a peel and stick cupboard liner, easy to clean off after a paint session and easy to replace when it looses its adhesion to the material its attached to
  2. Here are some pictures of my latest finished build. Kit went together well, used some aftermarket photo etch. The paint is Alclad Bright Silver Candy Base with Alclad Candy Red over it. Sealed with Tamiya Clear. Orange peel is noticeable on the paint, tried to get it out, but ended up going through the clear and clear red making me have to touch up the red and clear, so it is what it is at this point. Definitely not my best work, but it is done. just noticed the front windscreen has developed a bit of haze on the inside, it was fine when installed, oh well. I enlarged the side scoops behind th
  3. Personally I like Tamiya Fine White primer. As with aircraft, put together what you can, eliminate seams and always wash the kit before priming. As for a gloss coat I like to paint the base colour and then do a light sanding until it is clean of blemishes and then gloss coat, and then again sand and use a rubbing compound to get it to its final appearance. Gloss takes practice and a nice clean spray area, no dust.
