  1. Another small but disappointing issue - the oil filler cover and its area are inacurately engraved. Maybe it is still time to amend it? Cheers, Kuba
  2. Hi Lynn, I totally agree with you - it seems that Eduard has copied the tire of W.Nr. 4101. Copied from W.Nr. 4101 is the "cover" or maybe I will call it "a patch" on the wing, behind the main spar, close to fuselage (seen on this photo) http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/walkaround/4...tbd.midfuse.jpg that is not present on other Emils if my memory does not cheat me. Best regards, Kuba
  3. Gentlemen, Just to add a little to your interesting discussion I would like to point out some innacuracies I have noticed. I do have a kit for less than 24 hours but on my first, quick look: [1] Please look at the small bulges on lower engine cowl (those covering engine head covers and oil piping) - they are of wrong shape and incorrectly placed; [2] The tailwheel has spurious tyre shape; [3] The tailwheel well contour looks as if it is to small and to shallow when looked from profile; [4] Placement and presence (sic!) of few access hatches / covers on lower and upper wing surface needs
  4. Well, and that is why it's so difficult to find any good photo as the reference, I'm still looking for any. Does paragon set need any modifications when one tries to open those spoilers or it's just another details to be added to the wing without resin kit surgery and changing their fit?
  5. That looks excellent indeed! Thank you. I see, that opening spoilers need still some scratchbuilding, right? With spoilers opened and flaps deployed there is an open space in the wing, right? Does that resin flaps set include their nest and rails to be seen through those opend spoilers? Sorry for asking so many questions, but I'm a bit unfamiliar with this subject prefering rather older aicrafts and you guys are far more well informed :) Thank you for your help.
  6. Thank You, Gary! Do You know, where can I find a photo of this 32' scale set before and after installation?
  7. I'm looking for some 1:32 scale resin stuff for a Tornado IDS project. I'm interested in Paragon Designs' slat & flaps set specially. What's your oppinion about this product? Does it fir a Revell kit easily? Did it feature opened spoilers too? What about casting and overall details? What about other aftermarkets? Engine noozle maybe some avionics, cannon bay? I do have only black box Mk 10 seats and Eduard photoetch. thanks for any advice! best regards Kuba
  8. But please note the center-wing leading edge between engine and fuselage. It has incorrect angle and that's a fault
  9. ...the easiest, cheapest and most funny way! Of course, the Revell's G-10 could be converted, Hasegawa's G-10 could be coverted even easier ... Fujimi's Gustav kit as far as I remember is the "smartest" kit - they have prepared all necessary surface details for all Gustav / Kurfurst versions Kuba
  10. There are more differences in K-4 fuselage when compared to G-10: 1.The Mutterkompass acces hatch is missing (with compass relocated back in the fuselage) 2.The fuel filler acces pannels are located forward one section 3.The DF Loop antena is located one section backwards 4.There is no oxygen filler acces point 5.The radio-room acces door is located one section forward 6.The tail wheel doors and it's well and here note the K-4 W.Nr. the 330 xxx - 332 xxx batch seems to have the outer wheel doors (main and tailwheel) not installed with tailwheel blocked. Messerschmitts built in 1945 seems
  11. Thanks! Silver, I used gunze and aeromaster acrylics, which were polished. I preshaded model during painting - so it was something like in-between shading as my friend called it. The fuselage spine was painted with testors oil paints, also preshaded. The very large exhaust stain was done using tamyia smoke and matt varnish mixed with black acrylic testors. Sebastijan, the base is done using baking soda then painted with aeromaster RLM 79 Sandgelb mixed with yellow and white sometimes. Kuba
  12. Hi! Here's an old, finished last summer little Messerschmitt 109 K-4. This is Revell & Heller kit mixed together with rebuilt aires G-6 detail set. Most resin elements were changed to depict K-4 correctly (supercharger, engine bearings, oil tank, cowling, oil cooler and lower cowl, cockpit and many more smaller details). I used also superior PART photoetched set - the best in 72 scale for late war Gustavs, useful for K-4 too. ;) Kuba
  13. Hello! I'd like to show my recent built, almost finished - Tamiyia '48 scale Bf 109 E-7. Just a quick relax-built. Aires interior, acrylic paints, some preshading and research for painting tricks...and here it is. Kuba
