Hi,

I didn't know about this GB until yesterday when reading a topic I noticed the banner in one of you guys.

Anyways let me know.

Just yesterday I unwrapped the Tamiya 1/700 USS Cushing to represent the USS Johnston. I have been thrilled by the story and the history of the Tin

Can Sailors.

So this is my first ship and I'm going for the full meal.

The Five Star set needs some fit test as some of the parts don't fit to the kit parts as designed

I'm also using the Lion Roar floater baskets

And this book as reference for construction and find it quite useful.

Finally could you please recommend some Tamiya or Geos Colors to match Measure 21 cano???

Thanks

Hi guys,

As I said the 5 stars set needs alot of testing before committing CA. I learned this in the hard way.

Now I have this problem in the Union of upper deck and the walls in the main structure. There is a gap between the two parts. Do you have any recommendations on how to fix it??

I thought maybe using Mr. Putty or white glue.

Any other idea???

Personally I would use putty or a carefully applied gel type gap filling super glue. You could also thin the putty to make it easier to apply to the needed areas. White glue might not have enough strength/teeth for a large gap and crack.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Don.

This is tonight's work.

5 5"/38 Mk 30. Resin sanding, blast bags, brass guns, PE leaders and water tight doors. Enough for today. My eyes and finger tips hurts.

Oh, by the way the PE parts were attached with PVA glue 50/50 with water.

PS: The Peso is about the same size of 1 cent coin.

Today I sacrificed one little part to the modeling gods.

Does anybody knows what are these gizmos on top of the Mk30 guns??

While trying to bend it one of this flew away...now I need to find how to replace it.

Thanks
