Only the Mk2 had the wiring for weapon delivery so they could have been used if needed, the rest were trainers only. The first AIM-120 kill was made by a F-16D with an empty back seat. Jari

Some conventional weapons were obtained during the mid 60's for the 104, so it is possible to have a silver CF-104D with them loaded, scroll down a bit: http://www.c-and-e-museum.org/Pinetreeline/metz/otherm1/otherm1-53.html Jari

Prior to going green the CF-104D Mk2 would had a war time role of carrying a nuke on the c/l pylon, otherwise they had the MN-1A dispenser: Jari

New product release...SUU-13 (MK.56 / CBU-30) in 72nd and 48th

Nice body however the bottom has 41 tubes while the pod had 40, there is a bulkhead in the middle so there should be 2 sections of 20 tubes: Jari -

Finn started following Canadian CF-104G 6 shot underwing rocket pod

They are LAU-5002 rocket pods, do a search for them in 1/72 and you'll will find some. The nose fairing wasn't used and most training loads were usually 2 or 4 rockets and rarely 6. Jari

Here are some F-4Bs with Mk-82 Snakeyes: Also the early thermally protected bombs had the coating on the inside, it was a rubbery type goo from what i've read, the only way to tell from a distance was the second yellow stripe: only near the end of the war did the external coating come online, it was probably easier, and cheaper to do it that way, the pic is from the USS Hancock 73-74 cruise book: Jari

Here is another A-6A with open speed brakes, which were probably a hazard to those on deck: Jari

Actually the fuselage speed brakes did open early on: Jari
