KursadA
My T-6/CT-156 sheet for the Ibex kit is long sold out, and I still get requests for it fairly regularly. Now that one more Western air arm (Royal New Zealand Air Force) has received its aircraft, it is time for another limited edition sheet to replace CD48008. CD48081 will be a limited edition sheet with RNZAF, Mexican (both Navy and AF), Canadian and USAF options. I recycled the RCAF serial numbers (126) from the old sheet in the profiles below, but I will change the serial number on the new sheet. Full set of profiles coming soon. Vince Maddux
There are a few low vis T-6s in the inventory now, that might be a cool addition to the sheet, I know I want to build a Columbus bird.
Colin K
Kursad....that looks great! I wanted to ask, is it possible to get extra numbers for the CT-156 Harvard II on the sheet, just so a modeller can build a specific aircraft?
Thorp
Kursad, Any chance that this scheme will make the sheet .... Shot in 2007. Email inbound. Edited March 25, 2015 by Thorp
KursadA
Any chance that this scheme will make the sheet .... Shot in 2007. Email inbound. Yes! Thanks for getting in touch - I will write back ASAP. I have been looking for detail shots of this scheme everywhere, it is the sole reason the sheet did not make it to the print deadline for April. Colin K
So no chance of extra numbers for the CT-156 scheme in order to do any aircraft?
KursadA
I tried fitting a couple complete sets of digits, but there is not enough space on the sheet - sorry. There will be markings for one aircraft from each nation featured (Canada, Mexico, USAF(gray scheme) and New Zealand) Edited March 26, 2015 by KursadA
Colin K
I tried fitting a couple complete sets of digits, but there is not enough space on the sheet - sorry. There will be markings for one aircraft from each nation featured (Canada, Mexico, USAF(gray scheme) and New Zealand) No worries. Thanks for the info. Now, I have to track down another IBEX kit. KursadA
This sheet will be available in mid-May and will feature markings for USAF (gray scheme), Canada, Mexico and New Zealand.
KursadA
Why did I see this only after I finished the design of the sheet? There may be some change in plans here - hopefully it will not change the release date.
Colin K
Whoa....that's a nice scheme!
Bushpounder
I wish the kit would be released again or someone else make a better model. It is such a cool looking plane. Don
BigFoot
I wish the kit would be released again or someone else make a better model. It is such a cool looking plane. Don FYI, it seems to be in stock at the "Shop of Phantoms": http://www.shopofphantoms.com/rhino/Pulsar/en_US.Shop.displayShop.6964./ix48001
KursadA
Also note that Wolfpack mentioned (over at the "zone") that a T-6 Texan II was one of the 1/48 subjects they were considering for the future. I decided to keep the Hellenic anniversary scheme for a possible new sheet if that new tool kit ever becomes a reality; so I will stick with the original plan for the T-6 sheet coming next week. skyhawk174
I have one of the Ibex kits and to me the detail is a touch soft so a new one by Wolfpack would be nice. I already have your first sheet but will pick up this one too.
Bushpounder
I agree Chris. I do not have the kit, but the pictures tell me that a new one would be nice. Wolfpack would do a great job with it. Don
KursadA
This sheet is another one of those that I will start shipping next week - I am working on enabling preorders today. It is a limited release much like the C-45 and EC-121 sheets I had done before; and provides markings for the New Zealand and Mexican T-6's for the first time.
KursadA
This sheet was received well, despite the fact that the Apex kit is hard to find these days. I have gotten e-mails from multiple folks pointing out that the RNZAF aircraft are painted gloss black, and not very dark blue as I call out in the instructions. And they are certainly right. I will post a note to the product Web page tonight and provide a new set of instructions. Edited July 13, 2015 by KursadA
