Lorebor
Hi everybody, this is my Gee Bee R-1; it's the classic 1/32 Williams Bros kit with an Ultracast figure... Bye! Edited December 3, 2014 by Lorebor
Jim Barr
Very impressive; the aircraft, the base and the figure are all great in their own rights and when combined really create a fantastic model project. How did you apply the very fine black outline to the red scalloping? That is the one item that has keep me from doing the Gee Bee Z. Lorebor
Jim, I airbrushed some Tamiya gloss black on a clear decal sheet, then I cut it in thin stripes (somewhere around 0.5 and 1mm wide); the stripes were cut in section not longer than 2cm, then I applied them to the model, using MicroSet to soften them in order to make it easier to curve them... Cheers!
Jim Barr
Lorebor Thanks for the reply; the results are fantastic but man that is a lot of tedious work ! Regards Jim

Jinxter13
An excellent presentation . I've always wondered how that airframe handled all that power, it's pretty much all engine, but I'll concede it's built to be a pure racer.

dnl42
THAT is truly stunning work! Especially as the aircraft is so very small, even in 1/32.

Joel_W
Simply an outstanding build of a rather difficult kit. Excellent detailing, superb painting and gloss finish, and your figure is as good as I've seen. Joel
