Rotorman
Hi Lynx on hold for now. Started on the Super Frelon from Heller.its an old kit but so much can be done with..i will trying new stuff with this one. The plan is to open up the whole transmission unit, APU unit and detailing the 3 engines, fold all the blades back(6) and fold back the tail rotor unit back towards the fuselage. There are no aftermarket parts for this kit other the rare to find Matech products and the company is out of business. Its gonna be another long build im afraid . The huey won the following awards at the IPMS las vegas 2 weeks ago Best overall aircraft people choice award 1st rotary aircraft. Loach Driver
Hi Oliver. Nice work on your Super Frelon so far. I don't know if you are aware of this book or maybe you even have it, but if you don't, I highly recommend it. It is a great source for detail and info on the Super Frelon. The text is in French but there are loads of useful photos of the various engine and airframe details. It also has a few photos of some of the rarer equipment fits in French service as well as plenty of colour photos of the various operators. The Exocet-equipped Iraqi Air Force Super Frelon looks particularly good in its camo scheme. An updated version of this book was released in 2012 with an extra 10 pages. This book is fairly expensive but it is beautifully produced. If only it was released in English. http://www.scalemates.com/books/book.php?id=101661 LD.

rotorwash
Wow, Looking great. Once again you appear to be blazing through another great build. Ray
Rotorman
Hi ray Yeah the cockpit is pretty much straight forward on this helo. The fun will start first in the cargo area then in the engine/transmission and main rotor. The main rotor is as busy as the 53's im lacking photos so im searching on french sites for the french ray to help me with research photos. Glad u like it Oliver
11bee
Great stuff as always. Very unique subject. What's the quality of the kit like, I don't think I've seen anyone else build one? Engraved panel lines or raised? Regards, John
