KursadA
CD72036 will be a 1/72 decal sheet featuring various military and state operators of Piaggio P.180 Avanti. It will be designed for the upcoming A-Model kit. You may ask why I may be designing a sheet for a relatively obscure Italian civil aircraft - because it is the coolest looking aircraft that has ever taken to the skies, that's why. There will be markings for various Italian military users and others (Polish medical air rescue, etc.). Edited February 2, 2015 by KursadA
Sentry30
The Royal Thai Air Force is getting one of these as a mapping /surveillance platform. Might be interesting to look into... Daniel
jenshb
Interesting choice. I bought the resin kit a couple of years ago, and if the differences aren't too great they might fit. If you can make cheatlines slightly longer or provide blocks of decal for patching that would be grand. Jens

niki4703
because it is the coolest looking aircraft that has ever taken to the skies... I agree and will not miss this edition of yours. I am pretty excited about seeing what all the marking options will be about ...the only real good news I got today. Thank you for taking on this subject!
KursadA
Earlier this morning, the kit appeared on Ebay for the first time - which tells me that it has just been released in Ukraine. Mine is on the way, and I will post my observations and first profiles as soon as I receive it.

Ben Brown
Oh, for a 1/48 kit of that airplane! An affordable one.... :D Ben
Grey Ghost 531
Weird sounding critters. One was flying around the Burlington area a few years ago. Sounded like a circular saw being pushed hard into a sheet of plywood.

Sounded like a circular saw being pushed hard into a sheet of plywood. that's correct, noise is due to the fact exhaust fumes had to pass trought the propellers it is not due to the shape of the plane, if Piaggio will ever build a jet variant it would be very silent. KursadA
Received my kit today - I should be able to finish the design to be printed sometime next week. The box got a little banged up on the way from Ukraine, but the kit is pretty nice.

Falcon053
Humm, the more I look at this plane the more I like it! Might just have to look into purchasing one and get some decals from you.
kenlilly106
IT is a funky looking aircraft, first and only time I've seen one was when it was landing at the Roanoke VA Airport. I was in the back lot of Valley View mall and it went right over me.
Flyboyf18
I've started building mine and will most likely do this one with OOB Italian Navy markings. I found out that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had one, but just sold it bargain basement priced, 1.3 million!?! So I would love to do this bird it has swirly factory looking markings on the fuse & tail, no RCMP logos and is registered C-GFOX, so if all I could get was the reg letters I would be happy!! Just my $00.05 worth.

skyhawk174
Ok then, looks like it is time for me to order mine. Just a really nice looking aircraft. As long as you have military markings Kursad I am in. Too bad they did not do it in 1/48 as it would go nice with the Learjet.
