1/48 Tamiya F-35A "18th Aggressor Sqn"
aircommando130 replied to gb_madcat_sl's topic in The Display Case
Love those "what if" paint schemes! Very god job...the weapons bays are just "wow"! I'm surprised nobody has done the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels in F-35's like the F-4E and F-4J days. Cheers...Ron -

C-130J Fat Albert (New) Cargo Interior Photos

Looks like it...the old E models I flew were that color. The MC-130 was black inside...miserable hot inside being stationed out in the Pacific. Then later the MC-130H was done in a dark gray color. Cheers...Ron -
Show us that install...I'm always amazed at people putting light into an aircraft model. Cheers...Ron

That's super awesome! I see some VF-1 helmets in my future!

If you ever heard a 105 light the burner with it's water injection and roar down the runway just the thought of it will forever put a smile on your face. One of the "sounds of freedom" I was able to witness! Cheers...Ron

Awesome work on that Phantom! Oh....USN-RIO/ USAF-WSO for the backseat guys. Sorry...Air Force guy myself. Cheers....Ron

Very cool! It should be sitting on a runway in northern Japan! LOL! Cheers...Ron

Boeing C-135 Stratolifter only Tails (Scale 1/72)
aircommando130 replied to AWACS-RESIN's topic in The Display Case
Wow! That's awesome...lots of squadron tails without the airplane. I know the 161st out of Phoenix/AZ ANG had a 135 with the AZ flag painted on the whole tail. I've got some time under the boom on those ZZ coded 135's out of Kadena when I was stationed there in the 353rd SOW. Cheers...Ron -
Great job on the KC-10...When I was at Altus in the C-5 Barksdale had converted to the KC-10 and we'd fly down to the AR track for heavyweight AR training. We'd put 100,000 pound of cargo on the C-5 and go spend 4 hours up behind the KC-10 for fuel offload and dry plugs. Was a big airplane to look at from the C-5 cockpit windows. Again...great job and thanks for bringing back memories. Cheers...Ron

Nice job Chris! Gotta love a Herk in any scale....A Dyess H in SEA paint and the 463rd patch on the fuselage would be my favorite. Looking at yours I can almost smell the puke and hydraulic fluid mix on the inside! Cheers...Ron

Boeing RC-135S Cobra Ball (Scale 1/72)
aircommando130 replied to AWACS-RESIN's topic in The Display Case
I really like your "Big Safari" 135 collection. You do a fantastic job building them. I like "hog nose" 135's as well...different like an MC-130 to a "slick" herk. If you do a "Lisa Ann" that would be cool too. I knew the crew chief on her. He closed the crew door for them for their flight into the Twilight Zone. He cross trained to be a C-5 Flight Engineer after she disappeard. Great job on the Cobra Ball. Looking forward to your next Boeing adventure! Cheers...Ron -

Ha! That's funny! Cheers...Ron -
Beautiful Pilatus! I was just talking about the Air America guys flying into Lima Sites in Laos and landing down the side of a mountain at some of those places. Some very dangerous and exciting flying! Great job! Cheers...Ron
