tnuag Posted July 25, 2014 Share Posted July 25, 2014 After a long silence, we have a set of ground support equipment for the RAF V-bombers close to release. These are: 60 kva ground power unit Sentinel Tugmaster tractor Valiant tow bar Victor tow bar (normal) Victor tow bar (air portable) Vulcan tow bar They will all be available in 1:72 and 1:144 to suit available kits. The first batch will consist of the GPU and Victor tow bars which should go to Hannants next week. The remainder are waiting for etched brass which is scheduled for delivery to us on 21st August. A lot of people have asked for these so enjoy - a big thank you to John C for all his help, which has resulted in better model (without John's suggestion there would not be a GPU!). tnuag Posted July 30, 2014 Author Share Posted July 30, 2014 I have just finished casting the metal for the 60 kva GPU - it is probably one of the daintiest castings we have done - if all goes to plan the GPU and Victor tow bars will be with Hannants next week with the remained of the V-force items coming late August when the brass arrives.
