  1. No they used an F22 not a Blackhawk. Jager
  2. An accurate, interior included, well detailed 1/32-1/35 Kaman H43B Huskie. It's lineage from the first turbine powered helicopter, Kaman Ka-225 thru the radial engined HOK. Not to mention the intermeshing rotors technology from Anton Flettner. Flettner became an chief engineer for Kaman who came to this country via Operation Paperclip. Between the H43B and the latest incarnation of the intermeshing rotor system, K-Max, this is a historical helicopter that should be available to we Rotorheads. Jager "Living on Tulsa Time"
  3. After looking at the forward fan and drive subassembly at the Udvar Center I can appreciate the complexity and vulnerability of it. Looking at the video I have to agree with habu2 on his conclusion that the sudden forward down-pitch was probably due to some failure in the fan/drive power assembly.   4. Maketar, in the video it says that Alclad Klear Kote Gloss failed. The "it needs more time to cure" comment leaves the results open. Please clarify my confusion. Thanks, Jager
  5. You might try the hot water, form and cold water immersion option to bring it back into alignment. But I don't think it would make the issue of too short to be solved. Jager
  6. No sarcasm intended. The link was to the history of Ovation Guitars. Ovation Guitars was a company that Charles Kaman started and was involved in the design and manufacture of a fine instrument. I had no knowledge of your personal losses but I extend my condolences to you for them. Jager

  9. Oliver, When I was building my Huskie a few years ago I found technical info was hard to find. I contacted the New England Air Museum in Connecticut. They are located very close to the Kaman factory. The gentleman I talked to was very helpful and supplied me T.O.'s. The T.O.'s were very helpful in gleaning structure and equipment details. I believe there is a stepped aft cabin floor, just inside the clam shells on your build. My Dad was a senior blade tech at Kaman from the HOK days through the early Seasprite days. He had passed away before I built my Huskie....bad timing on my part. Unt

  11. Charlie you build looks great. The tail rotor issue is a Revell issue. Our Oklahoma Air Guard unit flies the Lakota. A friend got us a tour and that is where I saw the tail rotor issue with the model. I did a what-if and converted the Lakota to a replacement for the Kiowa. I dubbed it the AH-72 Lakota Warrior. I had a very ill fitting canopy. It was approx. 1.5-2.0mm wide. So I requested a replacement part from Revell, which the supplied in quick fashion, but to too was a bit wide and required some rework to get marginally decent fit. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this
  12. RIP Bob Hoover you were one of the best! Saw Bob many a time starting in the mid-sixty's. His "energy management' demo with the Aero Commander was always good, especially at the bottom of the loop. Found this on You Tube, thought you would enjoy it. Jager
  13. Well Eastern, Your build on the Kiowa has been daily required reading over the past few years. I will use it, on my current and future builds, as a standard which I aspire to build too. I guess the big question now is what is your next build going to be? Rotary wing? Fixed wing? Or are you going rogue and do Sci-Fi? Once again thanks for sharing, in detail, your build on this OH-58.
