  1. Found a couple more reference photos posted in Facebook:
  2. An update to my August 31st posts above showing F-16C Serial No. 91-0336 from the 179th FS of the Minnesota ANG (in other words, here are the rest of the photos): F-16C Serial No. 91-0336 from the 179th FS at the 2014 Duluth Air & Aviation Expo in Duluth, MN (210 photos) Remember, it was rainy and overcast that day, so the photos are not the greatest. However, they do show off the Have Glass 5th generation paint and markings.
  3. Part Two ~ F-16C SerNo. 91-0336, 148th FW, Minnesota Air National Guard Have Glass 5th generation paint and markings at the 2014 Duluth Air and Aviation Expo, Duluth, MN
  4. Part One ~ F-16C SerNo. 91-0336, 148th FW, Minnesota Air National Guard Have Glass 5th generation paint and markings at the 2014 Duluth Air and Aviation Expo, Duluth, MN (It was overcast and rainy that day, so these were not taken in good sunlight)
  5. Does anyone know what this pod is on this factory fresh F/A-18E Super Hornet? Close-up: Or this factory fresh EA-18G Growler? Speculation in a Facebook group has it as an AN/AWW-13 Advanced Data Link pod, but it's missing all of the exterior detail and paneling:
  6. VAQ-136 Gauntlets - Tail color close up. This is the only color applied to the aircraft. 140324-N-TO979-010 March 24, 2014 - Sailors assigned to the "Gauntlets" of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 136 perform maintenance on the wing of an EA-18G Growler aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Ronald Reagan is currently underway, conducting tailored ship's training availability. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Kimberly L. Romanowski/Released)
  7. This is the Opal Transparent Packaging Wrap from Michael's craft store: Depending on how light hits it, there are several different shades of color. This would be the desired effect:
  8. Here's a few views from the 176th FS of the Wisconsin ANG A link to the full gallery is here: 176th FS ~ Wisconsin ANG F-16C Fighting Falcon on MidwaySailor.com
  9. Scorpions back in Misawa, Japan and they brought new tail markings 140227-N-DP652-003 NAVAL AIR FACILITY MISAWA, Japan (Feb. 27, 2014) An EA-18G Growler aircraft assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 132 lands at Naval Air Facility Misawa. The squadron is beginning a routine deployment at the U.S. naval installation in support of U.S. 7th Fleet operations. VAQ-132 is homeported in Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Oak Harbor, Wash. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Erin Devenberg/Released)
  10. This is an EA-18G, but it's the same paint job: More photos can be seen in my EA-18G Growler Photo Gallery at MidwaySailor.com
  11. That would be interesting and I'm all for it. It would only be a partial gathering, though. Going with the squadrons Midway had at the time of her retirement, these are still around: VFA-151 Vigilantes VFA-192 Golden Dragons VFA-195 Dambusters VA-115 Eagles (now VFA-115 Eagles) VAQ-136 Gauntlets VAW-115 Liberty Bells However, these two squadrons are gone: VA-185 Nighthawks (Disestablished 1992) HS-12 Wyverns (Disestablished 1994) One more gone and wasn't permanently assigned, but deserves an honorable mention: VRC-50 Foo Dogs (Disestablished 1994)
  12. Ok, it's confirmed. The EA-18G with the 562 modex is from VAQ-129. Here's a photo I pulled off of Facebook showing it landing aboard USS Ronald Reagan, CVN-76:
