Now that I've got the Goose on the road to recovery, I want to do float- and ski-equipped C-47s. I've got the Roden 1/144 Douglas C-47 Skytrain, the Minicraft 1/144 USAF Arctic C-47, and the Welsh Models 1/144 Folsom's Air Service Douglas C-47C Floatplane conversion.

The Welsh Models conversion includes floats, struts, and decals.

The Roden kit includes markings for a single aircraft, 101st Airborne, June 44

The Minicraft kit includes markings for some SciFi movie and USAF Isachsen Station, Canada.

Working out how I'm going to do this.

Right now, I'm thinking of using the Welsh floats and decals with the Minicraft airframe because the Minicraft LG is so clunky. I'll use the Minicraft skis and decals with the Roden airframe.

Although, Minicraft did actually get one part of the LG yoke right, despite the crudeness of the part
