The Madhatter
hi everyone I was given this kit by a work mate who got it from one of his mates who didn't want it. My work friend said he didn't want it because he couldn't build kits, so I ended up with it. I'm not a huge fan of Camaros but I though why not. I opened the box to find it was molded in a metallic red with black trim. I think this was designed for the younger modellers due to the really small part count and the Toy like appearance in the box. I first thought to myself when I opened this it was one of those pre-painted snap kits, but luckily it was an actual kit you glue and can paint for yourself if you wish So I scoured the net looking for inspiring schemes and I came across a rather nasty looking one all in black. It had black wheel but I didn't care too much for that, so I went with Gold Titanium instead. I tried to buff it up as much as possible with Tamiya Polishing Compound and it shines like new. Anyway, thanks for looking I'm going back to my steam engine now :)/>/> MH Edited September 15, 2014 by The Madhatter
caudleryan
That looks great! I've been on the fence about getting one of these. I'm just not sure that I would like the metal body. Do you by any chance have any pics of the engine bay and engine? How is the detail of the interior and chassis? Their Challenger looks really nice, too.
The Madhatter
no sorry - I don't have any pics of the engine bay, but there is an engine. The body comes pre-coloured but that's nothing a bit of primer won't fix. The interior detail is fine - not the best by any means, but sufficient. You could go to town on detailing it if you wanted to. It's pretty basic The chassis is also pretty basic but again - sufficient. As you can tell - I am not a car modeller by any means :) It's the only model I could find of the ZL-1 available, so if you want one - grab it. It could do with a lower ride height though I do like the Challenger as well, but I much prefer the Camaro
