Aigore Posted November 15, 2014 Share Posted November 15, 2014 YEEEEHAAW! I got my greedy hands on a rare prereleased Tarangus Viggen! It´s still warm and just delivered and I´ve started planning how to go about things and what bird to make... Being light years better than the old Esci kit it still has it´s beauty spots and I´ll be using some aftermarket to get it on par. I know, it´s an expensive kit and they should have gotten the i´s dotted and the t´s crossed being a Swedish brand and Everything....but this is their first treamoring steps into a bigger world away from short run kits...and it´s THE VIGGEN, so I can forgive a lot :) Anyways, after my epic AJ ordeal I´m quite familiar with the Viggen and I´ll have it sorted out. I´ll be making a JA from F4,Jämtlands air flotilla at Frösön Airbase, outside Östersund (scrapped and abandoned in 2005). I did my military service there once upon a time, many many moons ago :P I´ve decided to make the ultimate version of the Viggen, the JA37Di, it was quite a capable interceptor with upgraded avionics and BVR capability, it could carry AMRAAMs. More to come.... I have a recollection of seeing it in one of the test shots but my memory.. it can´t be trusted.. I guess I´ll see for my self in a few days but.. :-) I suppose the wing mounted flare launchers are not included anyway.. maybe we can strong arm someone to come up with a set of drawings and spend a weekend playing around in blender then get them from shapeways.. or wait for Maestro.. unless Max has already made them..
