  1. Hi, thank you ;) Base colors are Gunze per instructions but non of them remained same, dark brown is backed up by flat earth from Tamiya, Dark green by Tamiya emerald green, yellow by some sand from Tamiya, light green again with Tamiya emerald plus white and bottom is Tamiya light blue that is not blue enough so I added a bit of clear blue, so all in all mixing a lot :)
  2. Thank you guys, in the mean time I got Modelsvit in 1/72 also....I love this plane :D, now my cars wait on a side :)
  3. Great looking in that paint, I like it a lot, great contrast with dark overall and metal art in the rear, now I should get one and didn't plan to...
  4. Hi guys, just finished this one, I love this plane and had plan to do it for years but all old ones asked for to much work in order to make them look at least good enough. I liked kit, not too good, not too bad, but instructions....not good at all, some parts missing, no numbers or wrong numbers and I am not usual plane builder so I had even more problems. Decals are also not so good, specially stencils, very thick and very bad color, so in the end you only see border of stencil and lettering is gone. Painted with my own mix of Gunze and Tamiya a
  5. Thank you guys, I am realy glad you like it ;) Hvala Davore
  6. Thank you guys, I am glad you like it :) @marek, that was general idea, I must find some leader since I only have car accessories :) @falcon20driver, general weathering is done only with flory models wash, I found them very easy to use, even thou this is first time I use it on semi-gloss or dull surface and it is a bit more difficult to remove it then from gloss surface. Staining is done with some art oil paints, so I put one dot of paint to the place where I want the stain to start and then with clean brush soaked in turpentine i move the paint down in wanted direction, very easy and effect
  7. Hi guys, I usually build cars and bikes but this one I like a lot. Everybody knows what it is so I will spare not too much words on it. From my point of view it is not an easy kit to manage and it take some patience, some putty and sand paper, good scriber and a lot of test fitting. I would point out few things that you should take care of since I never saw anyone describing this. When you join front part and rear part of fuselage, be sure not to glue intakes before the rest of the body, you need good symmetry there, it will not be perfect but try to align side and top, bottom is easy to f

  9. Hi all, finished this one, progress thread here http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....100159&st=0 any comment highly appritiated.
  10. Time for a little update, not much but begining to look like plane. I finished engine, allthou I had bigger plans I gave up at this point since it will not be visiable, I have painted it with combination of Alclad Steel and semi gloss alu. Legs are on, still need to wash and detail them a bit and canopy is dry fitteand still needs a wash. I have had trouble with decals being pulled of by Tamiya tape, so no more Gunze clear for me. Enogh talking.
  11. Well I knew I could miss on something like that Never the less visualy they just wouldn't fit properly so I had to schratch them just a bit and then I couldn't help my self Thanks for folowing this one up so closely Jake
  12. Thanks guys, a bit more progress, clear coat was applyed decals put on (I forgot how bad are Hasegawa decals), then I scratched them here and there a bit, put black wash on and that's it. This will be one seriously chiped plane
  13. I finnaly found some spare time, meanwhile plane was masked (chiping) with maskol, then I made preshading with Tamiya flat black, left it for a day, then white stripes with Gunze H11 without any masking, also left it for one day and then a lot of patience because I needed to mask over maskol and didn't want to pull it of before I am finished. So first was lower surface with Gunze laquer (127 I think), than masked it with Tamiya tape after 20 minutes, upper surface with Gunze laquer (304, again I am not sure) left it for 20 minutes and then masked front part of the wing for those yellow stripes
  14. A bit more progress, painting has started, first primed with Tamiya primer (not the best work since I didn't sand everything so little rough details on some parts when Alclad black enemal base was sprayed on. I sanded black where needed and applied Alclad semi gloss aluminium Some details Thanks for watching.
  15. Not a problem, just go and buy medical needles , they come with that plastic end, remove that end and you will have clean pipe of certain diameter (I have 4 different sizes), put the sharp end in your blade handle and tighten, take some sanding paper and grab the end of the needle and turn it around to make the edge sharper. After that just squeeze where you want to make a screw and make line with sharp blade. I hope this sounds understandable.
