I'm normally an aircraft and sometimes ship modeler, but I've been having fun with various 1/48 scale vehicles.

Here's CMK's 1/48 Ben Hur trailer. There was still some work left at in this photo photo from a couple of weeks ago.

I used a Dremel grinder to remove the pour stubs from the wheels. CMK would have you butt-glue the landing gear fork, but I drilled it out to provide a mechanical bond.

The instructions didn't describe four parts, but some walk-arounds identified them as two wheel hubs and the brake handle and bracket, which you can see in the right-read quart view below.

I found out after mounting them that the rear lights are identical when they should be handed. It would have been easy to fix one had I noticed this before I glued them on, but I'm concerned now that I'll mangle the left-hand light if I try to fix it, so I'm going to live with this. Also visible in the right-rear quarter view, I added some HO-scale eye-bolts for the tie-down rings. They should be an oval shape, but my efforts with wire (that was too thick in any event) didn't work out.

Still a couple of things left, like the tailgate locks, light plug, and safety chains. Anybody know of a source of chains with hooks I can use for those chains?

Thanks for looking...
