VA-115EFR
!!!! Top notch build! How did you get the wet look of the flight deck? Looks spot on!!!
f12aaa
I did the wet look with Future, then did the washed with matt black enamel and let dry. Cheers, Simone. :jaw-dropping:/>!!!! Shaka HI
Wow! One of the best Hornet's I've seen. I'm currently building this kit and I'm having fit issues that's not bad, but not perfect and this makes it even harder to make it look right.

Andrew Maverick Taylor
Truely outstanding work here. Really capture the scale and presence of the Supa. The weathering just couldn't be any more perfect. My only thoughts and this by no means a critique given the standard of the build, are the position of the rudders and the tailerons. I am a keen enthusiast of US Naval aircraft and specifically the F-14 and Super Hornets so I've seen enough photos to last me a life time but I don't believe I have seen a photo of a Super Hornet with the rudders in the neutral position when parked. They have either both been turned in wards or off to the side and the Tailerons are always sat in an upward angle with the forward tip inline with base of the tail fins. As said, not a reflection on your build as that is A**** but it if you were going to photoshop it into a carrier deck image or airfield image, it would be very difficult to destinguish between the real thing. Top work!

You are correct of course, but there's ALWAYS an exception like the pic below: F/A-18F parked Great job as usual Simone. You are one of the modeling greats.

KRI76
WOW! Simply incredible! The finish. The look. The weathering. The details. The pain job. Everything look just amazing. But I need to say that the very best part to me is the carrier deck with that superbly convincing wet look! Great! /Kristian

Jinxter13
Great build, for a good unit. How VF(A)-143 got it's name is one for the books.....however they perform far better than what the name lays on them. Edited November 8, 2014 by #1 Greywolf
Thadeus
Every time I look at Your model I'm astonished by the paint and weathering You've done on Your Super Hornet. I love every piece of it!
polybebber
The only complaint I have about this model is that there's nothing to complain about. Simply excellent - three thumbs  Lothar
EagleAviation
This is a truly remarkable built! well done! One question. Why did you choose live air-ground ordnance while you have a captive "Mike" on the wingtip? Have you ever seen that configuration or you just like it?
AlienFrogModeller
This is a truly remarkable built! well done! One question. Why did you choose live air-ground ordnance while you have a captive "Mike" on the wingtip? Have you ever seen that configuration or you just like it? It's not uncommon to have live A-G weapons and have a CATM on the wing tips. There are numerous reasons for this and most can be on a technical level and an airworthiness level. Not sure if I can legally explain due to security and all. But it's not an uncommon sight. In fact we do this here allot. PS: An incredible build sir. There's the Mona Lisa then there is VFA-143 AG100 build.

durangokid
Okay, I'm building a Has "D" Hornet right now and I'm going to throw it away! I don't know how I could even come close, you have ruined it for me ha-ha! All kidding aside, this is one of the best hornet builds I have seen. It really is fantastic all the way around. Would you be willing to explain how you did the carrier deck? I'm looking to do one myself one day but I'm not sure how to tackle it. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
