dnl42
My Google-foo has failed me. I'm trying to find out if 1/48 decals for an A-6E TRAM demonstrator, 155673, were ever made?
Darren Roberts
I want to do the same one! I'm assuming that it was a Bicentennial scheme at one point. Was there ever a 76 in place of TRAM on the tail? Either way, it's a sharp looking scheme.
dnl42
I don't know if this was ever a Bicentennial scheme, but you make a good point. I got this photo in the late '80s from the Grumman History Center in the basement of Plant 35. The scheme would look great on that HB A-6E with its TRAM bits. I had collected a bunch of plans and photos while I worked at Grumman. Sadly, I can find precious little of that booty today. I do have: 3-views and sections for the FF-1, J2F-4, and X-29; 3-views of the J2F-1 and G.72 (single-engine low-wing civil); erection procedure for the J2F-5; various other photos and brochures like the one above.
