  1. As a few others have said, I'm happy to have just been part and build a model within the time period (quite a rarity for me). I would like to offer my prize up to anyone who wants :)/> "F-4D 72-005 Born in the U.S.A. Part 1 - RMAF F/A-18D's"
  2. 1/72 Hasegawa F/A-18F Super Hornet, built OOB with ordnance from Tamiya and Academy.
  3. I've been busy the past few weeks working away on this model and I am happy enough to call it done. The GBU-38's and -12's are from the Academy F-35 F/A-18D kits respectively, whilst the AIM-9X's are from the Tamiya F-16CJ (I wasn't happy with the included 9X's). Painting was using Mr. Hobby Aqueous for the main, and detailed using Tamiya, Mr Hobby and MM, whilst weathering is a mix of oil wash, powders and dry brushing (on the bombs). All feedback would be greatly appreciated :) PS. Looks like I need to get my camera sensor cleaned again...sigh.
  4. Chasing some 1/72 Growler parts, specifically the 4 antenna bumps near the horizontal stabs. 2 just in front of the stab, and two below the stab. According to the Hasegawa instructions they are parts S2 through S5. Any help would be great. Thanks.
  5. Decalling complete and a light wash has been applied. This is my first real attempt at trying a wash, I've tried not to overdo it as the aussie jets are kept fairly clean compared to their US counterparts.
  6. G'day All, Just to add another Aussie entry to the group, I'd like to include my F/A-18F of 6SQN, number A44-215. The kit is the 1/72 Hasegawa with the RAAF decals. I only purchased this kit in July and started building early September, so I hope that qualifies. I'm about 70% through the build so far, but I do have a couple photos from along the way (not the best either as they were taken with my phone). Luckily for me this boxing of the F model included the ACS glareshield for the rear pit, and the antenna bump for the spine. The 2nd lot of 12 aircraft for the RAAF were pre-wired for po
  7. RAAF hornets also carry the SUU-20, but in white. A21-115
  8. Hello guys, I just signed up on here, and have recently bought a 1/32 F/A-18A cockpit and tail conversion set from VMD/blackbox/avionix. I went this way because of all the good reviews/pics I've seen of this set, and the fact that its almost impossible to get a Cutting Edge pit these days. I was lucky enough to place my order a couple of days before they announced a restructuring and no orders. Well I received my set yesterday, and have mixed feelings about it. The detail is outstanding, however it is ruined because the mould they used is quite worn out. Chunks of rubber have broken off the
