  1. My pictures of just the NMF didn't come out unfortunately so it looks like I've skipped ahead a little bit. Doesn't have the impact of most of the P-51's on display but I must admit I don't mind this one at all. Being an Aussie I'm probably a little bit biased!
  2. Kit is the Airfix 1/72 P-51 Be using Alclad aluminium for the NMF, thought I'd attempt some lighter and darker panels by applying black in various areas
  3. Haven't build a kit in this scale before but thought i would give it a go. I like some of the RAAF's P-51 examples, and decided to attempt a 3 sqd airframe that was stationed in Italy during WW2. I only have one photograph as reference for the decal sheet I have, but have included a few shots of other aircraft in the squadron to give an idea of the overall scheme. This is the general concept of the scheme This is the example I am attempting. Unusual in that the spinner in this image is white which differs from the standard red for 3 squadron mustangs in NMF.
