USAir Express Jetstream 3100

Recommended Posts

This is the 1/72 AModel Jetstream turboprop in 1/72. This particular aircraft is one I flew when I worked for USAir Express back in 1996-1998. I weathered it the way I remember those old work horses to be....dirty and frequently used. I actually miss the old bird....all 2000 hours!

Nice job but I don't miss the plane. Had only one flight, from Wichita Falls to Dallas. Glad it was short 'cause I had to lean into the aisle with my head still on the side. Too small. My second on the list of uncomfortable planes, first being anything Allegiant with bend forward rigid seats.

From a passenger standpoint, I totally agree! Miserable, noisy airplane. From a pilot standpoint, it was fun to fly. A suped up light twin ( when not fully loaded ) that was never meant to carry that many people. But, I view this plane like I view my first car.......may not have been the best, coolest or fastest, but it was my first.

Never flew in one, but I feel like it would be an awkward plane from a passenger standpoint. Everything seems to be thrown on as an afterthought.

Beautiful model though. It is always nice to see some of the less built civi stuff once and a while.
