rightwinger26
I thought I would post these here, there might be some of you that are interested. I paint 10mm Civil War figures for a game that I really like playing, I just finished these. They represent Archers Brigade, of Heth's Division, in A. P. Hill's Third Corps, Army of Northern Virginia. Not the best picture, I'm still figuring out how to get my camera to zoom in that tight and still pick out the detail. Hope you guys enjoy, there will be more to come of these in the future. Bill
Ken from NJ
Yeah, keep them coming, Bill When I take little breaks from my planes I like trying some figures, but not enough to go hog-wild on figure forums. And when you get the zoom figured out re-post this picture... I wanna see it. Ken
rightwinger26
Thanks Ken, I didn't think there would be much interest in this here. I'm not huge into figures either, mainly just historical figures for a few different war games I like to play. I got the zoom figured, (except the last picture, I bumped the tripod and didn't realize it till I uploaded). I still have some flash work to do, but I think these are much better pictures. Here Archer is facing part of Lysander Cutlers 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 1st Corps at the fence, backed up by the Iron Brigade. Thanks for looking! Bill

Ken from NJ
O.K.... now... -- Is 10mm kinda sorta 1/72 scale or smaller? Like maybe HO scale? -- Are the figures hard plastic, like styrene, or soft plastic, like the old Airfix miniatures? (My God, I had a lot of fun with those in the 70s) -- Do you prime them? Or wash first with soapy water and then shoot some primer on them? -- Do you use acrylic paints, like Vallejo or Andrea? -- Are you fed up with all these questions? rightwinger26
No problem at all Ken. 10mm is actually very close to N scale, these are GHQ miniatures, they are white metal, very well molded and very detailed for their size. I don't wash them at all, I clean the small seams, clip the flash if there is any, glue them to a piece of plastic with elmers, prime them with a light dust of krylon, the paint with thin Velajjo. I also paint their 1/285th WWII stuff. Right now I am working on another Federal brigade. Bill
