Bunch of Hasegawa 1/48 Phantoms for sale
JRobinsonUSAF replied to KevinS's topic in Buy and sell - add scale to your title
Interested in the QF-4. A couple of questions. What makes the kit different from a regular F-4N, and what would shipping be to zip 28104? Thanks, JR -

Which kit and how much are you asking? -
Looking for any Testors or Italeri 1/48 boxing of an RF-4. B,C, or F is fine. Decals are not necessary.

Hoping someone has the F-105B nose from the Falcon Triple Conversion they are willing to part with. Could also make do with the C&H Aero F-105B conversion. TIA JR

Dutch,
I was searching for a Falcon1/48 F-105B conversion and saw your post from earlier that you had one. Do you still have it and are you willing to sell it. You can also e-mail me at jrobinsonusaf@aol.com.
Thanks,
Joel

To be honest, I do not know. The C model had an upgraded radar system to make it a better all weather fighter, but aside from the wheels, I personally do not know of any significant external differences. I'm sure there are others on deck who would know more, and there are some excellent books on the F-15 that would assist you. Here's my model, completed except for the AIM-9s. Joel

Thanks all. I went the full stencil route. Took me four days, two sessions each day to do them all. Whitey, I have some spare honeycomb NO STEP stencils left over. I use Microscale data sheet and it had enough stencils to do about 1 1/2 aircraft. I guess they knew some of the decals would get messed up in the process. Anyway, if you want the NO STEP stencils, let me know. Joel

I am building an early F-15A in the Air Superiority Blue paint scheme. My question is - did these early aircraft carry a full complement of data stencils. I know later models were slathered with the honeycomb and no step markings all over, but I'm not sure about this one. Thanks, JR

H-21 Shawnee "Flying Banana" Blue/White FS number?
JRobinsonUSAF replied to Scott Smith's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Not sure, but almost all Air Force equipment, including vehicles, that was painted blue up through the 70's was done in Strata Blue. Don't know if this applied to aircraft as well, but I found a source for Strat Blue in a rattle can. Unfortunately, the oldest T.O. 1-1-4 I have is from 1964 and it does not reference either the FS number or an illustration referencing it. Hope this helps. https://quartertonparts.com/product/25045-strata-blue-spray-paint/
