Revell 737-800 Alaska Airlines

Recommended Posts

Here's my latest addition to the airliner fleet in my display cabinet :)

Of course, again some points where I screwed up, this time mainly with the decals. The walkway markings on the wing are wrong, this happens when you hurry things because the clock is ticking…

On the other hand, the DrawDecal decals were a beast to handle. Very very stiff and completely ignorant to decal softeners. Micro sol/set was a bit better than the rest (Gunze,Revell), but still a mixture of flooding the decals and using Future and very hot water was necessary to get them somewhat adhere to the fuselage… Probably Solvaset would be a good choice here but this miracle potion is not available where I live (Thank you, European Union!)

Anyway, would love to hear where I can improve further. There are enough airliners in the stash to learn a little bit with each one of them ;)

Thanks everybody for the kind words :) it's a constant learning pocess, and the next airliner will benefit from this build. I'll make sure to lighten the Payne's grey a bit before the wash, so that the panel lines are not thaaat popping.

Oh, and also thanks everyone for focusing your comments on the actual model, and not on the photo background. I know it's kinda bad, and next time it will be better.
