RICH W
I have converted the Zvezda 787-8 kit into the 787-9 using the method i always use pieces of PVC pipe to extend the fueslage then filling the gaps with body filler the 2 fuselage extension plugs added sanded back and ready to paint ( This picture is from my last Conversion using the Revell Kit) The Engines Painted Red To get the metalic Red effect i undercoated the tail area with Humbrol Polished Aluminium First Then i applied a top coat of Tamiya Clear Red ( some of the decals applied to the left side made by myself ) , The grey i used Revell 317 light Grey More to follow Richard
mrblujet
That's a good idea on the metallic red effect. That Revell grey looks pretty good too and appears it might also work on the new American Airlines livery.

I was thinking that too about the AA livery , it is a matt paint but if you really thin it down it and spray it on in light coats you get a gloss finish Richard
