Sad to see that price-gouging is alive and well for what was at one time an affordable accessory for models. Looking for info on CBU-30 Tear Gas Dispenser

Always happy to be of assistance. I am surprised that no one has provided us with a better SUU-13 now that 3D printing is available. -
Looking for info on CBU-30 Tear Gas Dispenser
jeffryfontaine replied to Drifterdon's topic in General Discussion
DesignationSystems.net has some information on the SUU-13 munitions dispenser at this link: http://www.designation-systems.net/usmilav/asetds/u-s.html#_SUU13 The list of sub-munitions includes the CBU-30 and has a link to that weapon within the listing. The early Minicraft/Academy 1/48th scale UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter kits used to include two SUU-13 munitions dispenser shapes.. -

If you are feeling a bit "peckish" after you finish with your shopping at Emil's, I would recommend travelling down the hill from Skyway into Renton and visit a restaurant called Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse to enjoy a "pound of flesh" washed down with your favourite adult beverage. Depending on the time of day that you visit Skyway Model Shop the traffic might be a only slightly annoying to downright impossible to comprehend. So it might be in your best interest to just sit it out for a spell and doing that at the aforementioned eating establishment will go a very long way towards reducing the str

Skyway Model Shop located just south of Seattle in Skyway-Renton will be your best option. Emil is the owner/operator and he stocks a lot of interesting things including acquisitions from estate sales. Address/location, hours of operation and contact information can be found at this link to his web page: Skyway Model Shop

Scams: buyers beware
jeffryfontaine replied to longmc's topic in Buy and sell - add scale to your title
Encountered the same crew at HyperScale replying to my post. Same set up, contact the "Friend" that has the items. It smelled sketchy from the start and when I checked the IP address it was showing up being located in Central Africa. Nope, Nope, Nope! -
An explanation has been provided courtesy of another modeler via the HyperScale Plane Talking Forum that has built the Tarangus Lansen and is much more knowledgeable on the subject:
Those are shields to deflect cartridge casings away from the belly tank. You're right, they're not in the instructions but they are visible in the marking and painting profiles.
Link to thread: Tarangus 1/48th scale A32 and J32 Lansen mystery parts.
