  1. Maybe if he builds "just like before" the hobby room will have a floor that if you place a marble on it, it will roll in any one of 360 degrees and none in a straight line! It's knowing the contents of the room and the art work that came off the desks that has me worried. That house may have had its charm, but I'm glad he's okay. - Brian
  2. I just got off the phone with Mr. Heilig. He is overwhelmed by all the support - and the generosity and offers of generosity. Right now he says "he does not need a thing. He has a job, wheels and a roof over his head. The insurance company is treating him very well. His co-workers and neighbors are looking after him very well, so please support those this time of year who really need it." As he doesn't have a place for them now, I told him we will look into helping his hobby and library needs once he has a real home again. He said to Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ALL VERY Much!
  3. Nice to see - great work. Maybe I can build mine while furloughed...
  4. Not my scale, but I'll just have to build at least one to use these decals! Maybe we can get MENG to do a 1/72 T-38...
  5. Roger that on all of your comments - aware of them. I've already used the spares off the Hasegawa T-37 kit - and don't want to sacrifice the aftermarket sheets as that's the likely subject I'll be doing! But wouldn't a small sheet of AFFTC, AFSC, AFDL and a few other test-related shops be good? At least we finally got a few NACA/NASA sheets awhile back... Funny how the kit sheets can get it wrong, but then I've seen kits of X planes with the NACA wings or NASA meatballs so wrong it still boggles my mind..
  6. Nicely done on all three - I have a few Reheats in the "to do" stack. I hope mine come out half as nice. The one I have done was a Buzz and a pic of that was on StarshipModeler.com a while back. I know Reheat was working on a Gemini - I think Ed White - when he ceased trading. Kinda wish he had at least cranked that one out.
  7. Is there a sheet someplace with a good number of AFFTC (Air Force Flight Test Center - Edwards) badges? I'm about to dig into a few experimentals I have and am somewhat shocked at the sub-par quality of the ones in the kits. It's not like the insignia is rarely seen. http://image63.webshots.com/663/7/76/18/2039776180102968434SAxFzZ_ph.jpg (although I note that sometimes it doesn't say "Ad Inexplorata" but "Air Force Flight Test Center") TIA! Brian
  8. Thanks! Having a slice of Red Velvet cake that a co-worker brought to me to celebrate the day. I think when I get home I'll blow off my chores and work on models instead! Brian N
