  1. RotorheadTX, Zac, thank you for your kind words. It end up to be a nicer build than initially expected! Cheers, B.
  2. And here it is after painting and applying de decals. Unfortunately there is a lot of silvering To fixed the silvering I retouched the areas with base colour (RLM70) and it kinda of worked out ok. Cheers, B
  3. I replaced the upper part of the choppa with a scrach built one. The stock one was really bad. Made the from light from white and clear sprue left overs.
  4. Hey all, This is my build of Huma's FL 282. It was supposed to be a straight build but after starting it, I quickly realized that it needed heavy plastic surgery. The engine was ridiculous, so I decided to make one from scratch.. I'm a step closer to blindness, but I happy with the end result. Its not perfect, but taken into account that I made it from basically electric wires, I call that a win![thumb] I had around some homemade PE parts for a radio and a chair and I decided to used them as well. The engine after painting, tomorrow I'll give it a wash, it lacks depth. A lot of
  5. Hi all, Can I enter this GB with this? it was a prototype helicopter for the Austro-Hungarian Empire during WWI. Cheers, B
  6. Hi Dan, Thanks. I used dry pastel mixed with Tamiya thinner. Cheers, B
  7. Hello everybody, I recently re-started scale modelling after a long hiatus. The first order was to finish the Dr.I I started in September 2008. The model is the 1/72 from Eduard, that cheap edition that came without a box, I remember paying 2,5€ for it :D. The plane was finished in 2008 (at least that what the pictures say, and I just finished making a base for it. Hope you enjoy and criticism is always welcome. Happy modelling, B
  8. Aigore, the SEM is for other purposes... they don't let go near it bad people bad people...). Anton, did you receive my PM? Meanwhile, I wasn't happy with the seats, so... I went into some photo etching, and I think it worked out nicely... There are still some refinements, but next time will go better. As always, feel free to say what you think.
  9. Hi all, This is the last work I started. I'll try do depict a Mosquito J-30 from the Swedish Airforce like this one: The starting material is the old Airfix Mosquito XIX/J.30. Surprisingly it has very nice fitting, which is odd for an Airfix. Not surprisingly was the cockpit, or the lack of it... a floor, two generic seats, a stick, an instrument panel with some fine lines representing instruments and a box depicting the radio apparatus. I sent everything to the garbage and started from scratch. The seatbelts from the radio operator are to be retouched...They don't feel reali
  10. Guys, I found the answer! It's moisture! Today, I've painted with a spare tire (inflated in the summer) as an air source, and everthing went fine! Must get a moisture filter to my air compressor. Cheers,
  11. I use an air compressor! I've tried to buff it today, but it didn't help. I bet it is the moisture! Tomorow I'll try to paint it again, but I'll use a spare tire that I've inflated a few months ago. cheers, Bruno Albuquerque
  12. Hi, The same thing is happening to me. Some weeks ago, I've painted the PW-R2800 of my Jug with Alclad II steel and everything went just fine. I've used umbrol primer. You can see the results in this pic, taken this week before the problems started. This week I made holes to get some wiring, and when I finish that, I gave the motor another coat of Alclad and it started to glaze as it would dry. The room temperature was 11ºC. Could it be moisture? Cheers, Bruno Albuquerque
  13. Both enamel and lacquer thinner will dissolve plastic! [be carefull!!!] Cheers, Bruno Albuquerque
  14. Well.. I know that is not a matt clear, and it is added to gloss paint, but I don't know how much to add to get a flat finnish. Thanks, Bruno Albuquerque
