More photos And a little tribute to the original artists -
A rare "what-if" project from me. Tamiya 1/48 F-35A done up in markings of the 18th Aggressor Squadron based at Eielson AFB, Alaska. Scheme was inspired by profiles drawn up by Sean Hampton and Scott Brown of Afterburner Decals found in this article: https://theaviationist.com/2020/09/10/these-are-some-of-the-designs-submitted-for-the-new-aggressors-f-35-color-scheme/ Decals were self-drawn. Painted with Mr Hobby lacquers and weathered with oils and enamels. Seat was a 3D printed set from Mini Craft Collection.

That's neat! Caught her when the VP was in town for a visit back in 2021. Mark

Best kit to use will be the Aggressor boxing of the Tamiya Viper. It has parts to do all the C variants (blocks 25 to 52). As you have the CJ, you will need to source for the original "lightweight" landing gear, associated non-bulged main gear doors, and wheels. Hope this helps! Mark

Sharing my latest build here. This is Takom's 1/35 AH-64D Apache Longbow done in the markings of the Republic of Singapore's 120 Squadron "Kestrel". I used the "D of the World" boxing of the Takom AH-64D and built it straight out of the box. The only exceptions were a couple of homebrew decals to detail up the cockpits. Painted with Mr Color lacquers and weathered with oils and enamels. Hope you enjoy the photos of the completed model!

In stock at my LHS. Passed on purchasing it due to the lack of A/G weapons. Mark

Maybe you could consider using the paint reference from another kit like the 1/48 Hasegawa AH-64D? https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/4/4/2/109442-34-instructions.pdf Mark

Hmmm. A bit disappointed that no Bombcat parts are provided (LANTIRN pod, bomb racks, bombs). This is even though they included the square PTID for the RIO station. Mark
