  1. My Dad drove one of those, and a Ward la France wrecker, when he did his National Service with the British Army from 1947-49. Accurate Armour does kits of both in 1/35, but they're over £200 each! :jaw-dropping:/>
  2. Another update from me. It appears that Richard Morgan is once more up to his old tricks. His latest MO is to use the various Facebook modelling forums (I know, in Latin it should be fora ;) ), especially those where kits are swapped or traded. He's now living in Kettering, Northamptonshire, UK. Caveat emptor!
  3. I read about this on Adm James Stavrides' FB page. For SACEUR, the military head of NATO, to post on this gives some measure of Lex...
  4. Oh dear... Isn't this the sort of information those nice gentlemen in Nigeria are looking for when they want to pay you MILLIONS of dollars? Oh, and I think there's a brave US Army Sergeant as well, who has some of Saddam's gold he needs to move from Iraq... I'm tempted, sorely tempted... I can't believe that this toerag is still getting away with nothing less than daylight robbery! Oh, and if you need a good laugh, this is a thread concerning one of his escapades earlier this year, when he moored his boat to do some fishing - in a busy sea lane! He was almost taken out by a large Rus
  5. Not today, but on Sunday I bought the 1/48 Hasegawa Fw 190 A-8 and BMW sports car, a Hasegawa 1/48 Hurricane Mk I, a CMK 1/72 "Artillerie" conversion for the Revell FAMO, a 1/48 Phantom FG.1 and the 1/72 Trumpeter F-105. An eclectic mix, but some are in keeping with my latest "Polish" thread! I'm planning a line-up of Skalski's aircraft in 1/48 and so far, I have the PZL.11, Hurricane, Spits V and XI and the Mustang III.
  6. Ben, Please see my email and the link to Ken Duffy's Flanker website! As I said in my email, you're a credit to your ATC Sqn - keep up the good work! Best wishes, Chris (ex 115 (Peterborough) Sqn)
  7. I managed to acquire a Contrail vacform of this kit today, but it was missing the instructions. Does anyone out there happen to have a set they could scan or copy for me? Many thanks, Chris
  8. Well, I've taken the comments from here and HS and sent them on... As for using vacforms to make silicone moulds and "slush casting" - I don't see why it can't work. I've thought of trying it for 1/144 "solid" models - I'll get around to it one day! Chris

    XP-67 Bat

Kits of this aircraft are quite hard to come by and as far as I'm aware, only two manufacturers have produced them, the Rareplanes vacform and the early Czechmaster resin kit. Unfortunately, Rareplanes are no longer being made by Hannants and the "master" for the resin kit was built by the Czech Master some while ago! I was lucky enough to see it in May, resplendant in Petr's showcase at his home in Prague. Since producing his earlier kit, Petr has been given access to a lot more information and imagery of the XP-67 by the NASM. If sufficient interest is shown, he'll consider re-mastering
