KursadA
My decal sheet for the MQ-9 Reaper (CD48001) was Caracal Models' first release; and the first silkscreen decals I have made. This sheet is special for me, because it literally put Caracal Models on the map : It has been a significant success with slightly fewer than 1000 sold worldwide. Its success allowed me to do the next few sheets, and the rest is history. CD48001 is now sold out almost everywhere, and I regularly get asked to re-release it. I could easily order a reprint of the old sheet with a few key strokes; but I learned a great deal about designing successful products in the last four years, and I would like to reflect that in a brand new sheet. So I decided to retire CD48001 and release a new, expanded MQ-9 Reaper sheet. There are a few new operators (France, Italy) and new units that came online since 2011; and the new sheet will include markings for these as well. I have been working on the design for the last couple of weeks, and I will post more information later this week when I assign a product number and announce it here. Stephen
Great news Kursad. I hope the RAF will still be on it. Stephen
Viasistina
I think the 1/72 guys helped you sell out that sheet too. I never knew that sheet existed. I''d like another chance at one or two.
dnl42
Very cool! I've between eyeing that kit at the LHS and Sprue Bros, this would put it over the top!
KursadA
Great news Kursad. I hope the RAF will still be on it. There will certainly be a RAF option on it. I still want the old sheet to have some appeal and don't want to see them dumped on Ebay; so the new Reaper sheet will not be a simple superset of the old one. I will replace almost all of the options with new ones, and some of the units on the old sheet will not be on the new one.
skyhawk174
Thanks for doing this Kursad, this is great news. I had started the Italeri 1/72nd kit even before the 1/48th kits were released for the simple reason it had Italian markings in it. Now with your sheet I can give that kit to my friend since he builds 1/72nd and I normally don't. The other markings will also be useful as I have a couple of these kits. skyhawk174
Hi Kursad Maybe this is an opportunity to do a combined sheet with both 1/72 and 1/48? I am thinking that the markings don't take up a lot of space. Just an idea.
KursadA
Hi Chris, I decided not to do combined scale sheets a long time ago - I think there is enough demand for another 1/72 Reaper sheet, so I will scale the 48th sheet down and release it in the smaller scale as well. The 1/72 Reaper sheet met its sales objectives fairly quickly, and sold out afterwards. Edited November 21, 2014 by KursadA

RotorheadTX
Another 72nd release would rock!! I missed out on the first time around, and would eagerly snap up a small-scale copy of these new subjects!!
