  1. I have a pair of those shapes Jeffry and when I saw the pic that I posted in my original post above, I knew I had to try to find what info I could. I don't know what Skyraider these weapons are loaded on but I'm guessing probably any that was on SAR standby would potentially have it. At least that is what I keep telling myself until I hear back from someone that knows definitively. I found these pics after doing an additional search for SUU-13A dispenser. Since I'm looking to do a CS gas dispenser, I'm not too concerned about the mine details. Thanks for steering me stra
  2. I'm working on a unique load out for an A-1 Skyraider used as a "gas bird" for SAR missions during the war in SEA. It is loaded with CBU-30's on the larger wing hardpoints just outboard of the main gear and M-47 white phosporas bombs on the smaller outboard stations. I search of the internet shows what the CBU-30 dispenser looks like from the side but I couldn't find anything on the undersides which is where I'm guessing the CS munitions were dispensed. There was also a warning on the side towards the front but have no idea what it says. If anyone has details of of the CBU-30, could
  3. Thanks Fred. I figured if anyone knew the answer to this it would be you. And your Snipers F-5E is amazing. That is exactly the bird I'm wanting to build. Hard to believe it's the old Monogram kit. I take it you used an aftermarket cockpit. Don
  4. Beautiful model Fred. It turned out amazing. You should be proud of this one. Especially with all the challenges you had to overcome.
  5. Anyone know what the colors are on this Sniper F-5 are? And is there a camoflage pattern anywhere that I can use. I think I can probably kluge together markings from a couple Two Bobs decal sheets but I'm not sure of the colors used and camo pattern.
  6. Fan-friggin-tastic! This makes me want to dig out my less than stellar Revell 1/24 kit and start building.
  7. Does anyone know if Hypercat Resin's is still in business? I'm guessing this was probably a one person show. They had a pretty nice looking resin replacement cowl for the Revell/Monogram A-1 Skyraider in 1/48 scale. A google search took me right back to Scalemates. AD-6 Skyraider Replacement Cowl (multiple options), Hypercat Resin (scalemates.com)
  8. Amazing! Simply amazing!
  9. Rod, If you're unable to find this part, Model Monkey offers a 3-D printed nameplate. Link here. Nameplate USS Enterprise CV-6 (DNQRPUQAV) by Model_Monkey (shapeways.com)
  10. So Masters of the Air wrapped up this week. I really hope they release it on Blu Ray. This was a great mini-series. I'll probably start it over in a week or so.
  11. So to get back on the subject of a dedicated decal sheet for all of these old missile kits (Regulus, BOMARC, Snark, Mace, Matador), any more thoughts Kursad on a potential time frame? I know you have lots of other subjects ahead of this one. Just wondering out loud.
  12. Very interesting. I had no idea. Thanks for sharing Larry.
  13. RSM-62 Strat Recon Snark? 😕
  14. Updating this thread to ask the question vs. making it seem like I was providing information. For those who have built their F-5E/F's with the Aux Engine Inlet doors open, what color did you paint the inside/interior and how did you keep from overspraying this when you painted the exterior camo?
  15. Cool! Thanks for sharing Dutchmaster. Very helpful resource.
