You might also try using Embossing Powder which you should be able to find at Hobby Lobby or other craft shops. To use, paint the car floorbeds in a color close to the embossing powder then dump it on let it sit for a few hours then tip the interior upside down and tap out the remaing power. Touch ups are easy just add somemore paint to thin areas and repeat. The only frawback is that it isn't available in as many colours as flocking but does give a little bit of a different look then flocking but that's okay too. Other have told me that they used thinned white glue or kristol klear but I like paint because it will help to disquise any thin spots.
