Paolo Maglio
I choose to add the avionic bay by DACO and also the B43 even if the nuclear role was not yet assigned to italian 104s at that time, but they were training for it Since there a no Italian markings for this early Starfighters I printed Wing markings and fuselage numbers by myself while the stencils come from the truly excellent decals sheet by Eduard-

DACO Products
One small remark Paolo: you closed the gun mouth, so no gun is installed but you placed the ammunition box … shouldn't this be then the additional fuel tank? Danny
Paolo Maglio
Hi Danny, I appreciate your comment but: this was a CBO-bomber variant so it was going to have the gun and the ejection mechanism for shells as well the ammunition box. Problem is in the photos I found this 104 to have the gun nozzle Covered. The mistery is solved when you consider that the Vulcan gun was cleared for use in Italy only in 1968 while the photo is from 1965. So I think the CBO variant was not modified with the additional fuel tank since it was going to the get the gun. In Italy only recce and fighter variants (both without the gun) had the fuel tank instead. Everything will be much more clear whenever I will manage to publish my book...
