CD72028 : T-45 Goshawk

Recommended Posts

I am finally done thinking about this, and came to the conclusion that it will be a viable product to expand my 1/72 product line. It will be a limited run printed by Microscale. I will try and include a licenced reprint of the Fine Scale Modeler article on correcting the Italeri 1/72 T-45 kit, many copies of which are no doubt languishing in stashes.

More 1/72 subjects will be coming in the next few months as I scale down some of my 1/48 artwork.

If you need more references to update your existing art you may want to check out my page listed in my signature for T-45 photos. I can also help out with info from the markings manual that has among other things all the stencils, dimensions (including the tail codes), and even the cockpit placards.

Paul Boyer already finished his T-45 kit using one of the options on the sheet; and it looks great. Most likely the first Testors/Italeri T-45 kit saved from the depths of the stash after many years:

I recently received Kursad's 1/72 decals and would like to build a couple of the schemes. Not being up to date on this aircraft type, what's the best kit out there in 1/72 scale? Google tells me the Italeri kit is just their standard Hawk reboxed as a T-45.

There's a lot more too here for the Meridian aircraft in general and also detail shots, including the special schemes there:

Is there a way to save all these pics? These are great references, esp if I want to build one with the flaps down and everything else hanging out :)/>

Thanks in advance

Italeri is your only option. It is not just their standard hawk kit. But that being said does not fully represent the T-45 either. It is apparently based on the t-45 prototype, and will need some changes to bring up to current spec. I found some articles in the past detailing what needs done, if I find them again I will forward them to you.

Flickr is a pain but you can download the photos. Once you click on a photo it brings up the "viewing" type page, down in the lower right there should be a few icons, the rightmost is white downward pointed arrow, click on that and it should give you download options for various image sizes.

Woot! I didn't know that! Thanks Steve! It really works.
