infofrog
Rick's Shunkmodels 1/48 HH-60J USCG Jayhawk This build will start in couple days or so . I got my shopping list of colors to pick up . The rivets are very lite . I will use my rivet tool to re-rivet areas or the whole bird. There will be scratch build items alone the way . Also Eduard Photo etch exterior kit for USCG 1/48 scale Also the manual is very difficult to understand . This maybe a challenge Here some photo's I took . Thank you Rick Edited April 19, 2015 by infofrog

Woody_
Wish you luck with it,and hope it will be better than mine build. Take your time on joining 2 halfs together,do a lot of dry fitting. Also, the worst part on this model are glass parts, don't fit at all,so again lots of dry fitting and filling. Take a look at my topic, and use links for reference photos. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=273611&st=0&p=2595142entry2595142 Woody

infofrog
There some interior details not so good. I decided to order Eduard 1:48 HH-60H Interior S.A. Painted Photo Etch off ebay . Will update progress later or end of the week Rick
HeavyArty
Looks like it is coming along. The rear crew seats look too short in the seatback to me though. The top of the seatback should come up to or above the shoulders when someone is sitting in them. They should be at least as tall as the pilots' seats. I used a spare set of pilots seats to build them in mine.

infofrog
looks good Oliver Thanks a lot Rick Can someone tell me what this control arm I have circled is ? Thank you Rick
HeavyArty
It is the Collective Control. It controls the vertical lift and speed of the helo by changing the pitch of the blades when you pull it up or down. There are also a bunch of buttons on the front side for various components. Here is the front side. And the right side mate to it at the bottom of the pic. Edited October 1, 2014 by HeavyArty
