Last night's blue moon

Recommended Posts

Been wanting to be able to take a pic like this for years! Finally got a lens that will let me do it. Believe it or not, this was hand held (braced against the door frame), 400mm, 1/200 sec, f.11, ISO 200

Great pic! It sure was bright last night. Turned the lights off in our bedroom and the room was still lit up!

I'm also always struck by the crater in the lower center. That impact must have been tremendous...you can see the streaks leading in all directions from the crater stretching a great distance.

That's a fake - obviously done using papier-mache and plaster. Even in 1969 they did a better fake moon than that.

Nice try...

We looked up and talked about the Blue Moon that night, but, we didn't have any camera to get a good shot with.

I am glad you got such a professional shot of it, that way the image is saved somewhere.

Nice shot, Jennings.

I wasn't able to get a shot of the blue moon, but this is one I took a few months ago, piggybacked on my telescope.

I just ordered a t-ring and adapter, so the first target when they get here will be Saturn.
