KursadA
CD48119 will be a 1/48 sheet dedicated to USAF T-33A, with several options spanning the period from 1950s to 1980s. It is an all-new sheet; with completely different options than those I included in my previous two 1/48 scale T-33 sheets. It will be designed to fit the new Great Wall Hobby kit. I will post some profiles this weekend.
KursadA
My GWH T-33 kit is here, so I will quickly confirm the dimensions of the markings I designed for this sheet and post more info. Now that I was able to obtain the kit earlier than I expected, I will try to make this sheet a July/August release.
Drifterdon
Kursad, Have you matched up your earlier ANG T-33 sheets with the new GWH T-33? My guess is they will work just fine. Don
KursadA
Have you matched up your earlier ANG T-33 sheets with the new GWH T-33? My guess is they will work just fine. Hi Don, The first thing I had done with the kit was to confirm that the rudder geometry I used to design my earlier T-33 sheets matches up with the kit. And it does, perfectly. The earlier Caracal Models ANG T-33 sheets (CD48016 and CD48018) fit the new Great Wall Hobby kit very well. I have only a few of these early sheets remaining, you can buy them with confidence that they will work with the brand new kit. http://caracalmodels.com/cd48016.html http://caracalmodels.com/cd48018.html
Drifterdon
Never had any doubts! And already own both. :thumbsup:/> I can't wait for the third sheet. I'm hoping it has markings for Alaskan Air Command Elmendorf AFB on it.

KursadA
I spent some time on the final layout today - everything looks good, and I should be able to post the final draft tomorrow. The units that made it onto this sheet are: -95 FITS, Tyndall AFB -318 FIS, McChord AFB -81 TFW, Bentwaters AB -48 FIS, Langley AFB -Vermont ANG There were so many possibilities, but not much space..I will have at least one more T-33 sheet when this one is close to selling out. Wow 318 FIS with the starburst. Cool. I have a sheet for their F-15 so it will make a good comparison
KursadA
Here are the options on the sheet. You can't see the name on the cockpit sill very clearly, but the 95 FITS jet on this sheet was flown by one young Lt. Hitchins - one of us here at ARC.
jimm33
Very nice sheet, KursadA! Would any of these be for the "late" T-33 in gray? Jim Edited July 12, 2016 by jimm33
KursadA
Thanks - all options except the Bentwaters example (which is from 1965) are gray aircraft from the 1970s and 1980s. It is a T-33 sheet, not necessarily geared for the early or late T-33; whetever the differences in the GWH kit may be. I have artwork for some earlier schemes, but chose to use these for this sheet. I don't have plans for a dedicated "early T-33" (immediate post-Korea etc.) sheet soon. Edited July 12, 2016 by KursadA
GEH737
The young Lieutenant is very much honored to have his jet on one of your decals Kursad - my deepest thanks and appreciation!!! Some fun facts. A young Lt. Murphy (also on ARC) was also a "Bonehead". The 95th had a very long and storied history before we showed up. While we were there at Tyndall AFB, the 95th was the largest squadron in Tactical Air Command, had the most jets, the most pilots and flew the most hours and numbers of sorties. It was a great first assignment. After the T-Birds retired, the 95th then transitioned to the F-15 Eagle, and is currently flying the F-22 Raptor. The 95th recently received the Raytheon Trophy from the Air Force as its top Fighter Squadron. http://www.raytheon....eon_trophy.html I'm not much of picture guy, and I've never taken a "selfie" - but this is one of my favorite pictures, and taken at a great point in my life, as a young Lieutenant flying with the Boneheads at Tyndall AFB, FL Hitch

GEH737
Back row, 7th from right - on a deployment in Turkey. Not a good look...
KursadA
This is the final layout of the sheet. It ended up being a bit busier than I would like, but this sheet reflects all I had learned about T-33 markings since I have done the ANG sheets, and comes with a more complete set of stencilling including the old school silver foil-backed stickers. These should look great on the ADC gray options.
