Joel_W
Paul, I watched both your new videos, and both are fantastic. I do have a question about primers. I use Tamiya Gray Surface Primer thinned with their yellow cap Lacquer Thinner, and really haven't had any issues with it softening Squadron Green Stuff. I do mist on the 1st few coats, let it dry for 10 min or so, then a heavy coat. I've never laid down a wet coat like you recommend. And I do polish out the dried primer. Since you're using a commercial auto primer, I'm assuming that it's much stronger then the Tamiya thinner I'm using, which is causing the softening issue. I've also started to seal the final sanded and polished Green Stuff with thin CA, which is then sanded and polished, more for dealing with the porosity issues, then preventing the softening of the putty. I only have one air brush, an external Paasche -H unit with 1, 3, & 5 mm tip setups. I use the .5mm setup for priming. Am I on the right track with my methods? galileo1
It's interesting (about the video on primers) that we - well, at least me - always tend to go for super fine needle/nozzle combos instead of just using a larger set and get a smooth coat right from the get go. I seem to always have issues spraying primer so now I'm thinking it is because I always use either a .2 or .3 set up. Hmmm...time try a bigger set. Thanks Paul! southwestforests
Or is it simply that the link is broken for some reason? Such as perhaps the video being redone or moved? Because: There is from Scale Model Workshop Published on Feb 15, 2018;

1:72 WW2 Air Only
Great video, I tend to just use Tamiya panelines to get mine done in 1:72. I need to get a scriber though for those models that do not have clearly defined panel lines.

I strongly recommend you get these: With the 0.10 blades; they're about the best available out there. Those I get after seeing master Yufei Mao (aka Haneto) use them.
